The Future of Augmented Reality (from Social Media Club Boston)
December 15, 2009
Jack Graham (@jackexmachina) is an Interactive Producer based in Boston. Last month, he gave a talk at Microsoft’s New England Research & Development (“NERD”) Center for Boston’s Social Media Club gathering.
Boston’s SMC is headed up by Todd Van Hoosear (@vanhoosear), but most major cities offer a Social Media Club–you can locate and get involved with yours here.
In his talk on augmented reality, Jack discussed: what this emergent technology (and buzzword) actually is (and isn’t–yet), some existing and in-development AR applications, and projections for AR’s evolution over the next few years.
Check out his presentation slides below:
You can also watch Jack’s talk at SMC Boston in full (starting around 66:00).
